WHAT IS PCOD

PCOD is a condition in which the ovaries contain many immature and partially mature eggs.These eggs overtime develop into cyst in the ovaries.PCOD is caused by hormonal imbalance and also more common in women who have family history of PCOD.

WHAT IS PCOS

PCOS is a serious endocrine disorder that affects the entire body,under which ovaries produce and release to much testosterone(male hormone) which lead to multiple cyst in the ovaries.

4.Weight Gain: Often, but not always, associated with weight gain or difficulty losing weight

8.Skin changes-More likely to experience acanthosis nigricans (darkening of the skin) and skin tags.

HOW TO MANAGE PCOD/PCOS

Healthy diet - Take diet rich in whole grain , lean proteins , healthy fats and plenty of fruits and vegetables.Choose foods that have a low glycemic index to help control blood sugar level.Reduced intake of processed food.

Regular exercise-Regular activities like walking , Running , Swimming and Cycling.

Weight Loss-Weight loss can help regulate menstrual cycle and improve symptoms.Combine healthy diet with regular exercise for effective weight management.

Regulate the menstrual cycle by medication to treat hormonal imbalance and insulin resistance.

A laparoscopic procedure- Ovarian drilling to destroy androgen producing tissue , in case of PCOS patient not responded with hormonal treatment.
